COURSE DESCRIPTION

This qualification provides students with the skills and knowledge to work as a mechanic to service and repair motor vehicles from a selected range of specific vehicle types. You will also learn how to test and identify faults in the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems of motor vehicles.

This course is designed for light vehicle mechanics in the automotive industry who want to develop their skills and improve their employment prospects.

You will learn how to apply safe work practices, test and service batteries and carry out repairs to single electrical circuits. This course will help you develop your skills in servicing and repairing engine management systems, steering, suspension, transmission and braking systems, and teach you about inspecting and servicing engine cooling systems.

This course also covers inspecting and servicing of manual and automatic transmissions, how to repair steering and suspension systems and the detailed servicing of hydraulic brake system, engines and fuel systems.

Duration:

50 weeks (including holidays)

Entry requirement:

participants  must be aged 18 or above.

Must have completed year 12 or equivalent

Must have IELTS 5.5 or other equivalent English proficiency test (TOEFL, PTE etc)
